Design and Styling
The design of BlackO Studio’s website is both bold and minimalist, alternating between black and white backgrounds on different pages. This dynamic approach made managing certain elements like menus and text a bit challenging. Careful attention was required to maintain readability and visual balance, ensuring that the contrast between light and dark themes didn’t disrupt the user experience. The minimalist aesthetic, with large typography and ample white space, emphasizes key elements and enhances the site’s clean, professional look.
Development
For the development of BlackO Studio’s website, I utilized Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) Pro to create dynamic, customizable content areas that allowed for flexibility in designing each section. With Gutenberg, I ensured a smooth, block-based editing experience that streamlined the process of updating content, making it easy for the client to manage. These tools provided powerful control over layout and content, allowing for highly tailored designs that reflect the brand’s unique identity while keeping the website manageable.
In addition, I implemented several optimization techniques to enhance performance. By integrating an online image optimization service, I improved image load times, further supported by the use of the modern .AVIF format. This helped reduce page weight without sacrificing quality. For a more interactive experience, I embedded Lottie animations for the brand’s logo, bringing subtle movement to the design and creating an engaging user experience. This combination of modern technologies contributed to a highly efficient and visually appealing website.
